What Your 2004 Honda S2000 Warranty Covers
Every new Honda, including the S2000, comes with a Factory Warranty, also known as a Manufacturer’s Warranty. Automotive warranties can be confusing, so we’ve created this warranty guide to help you determine if your S2000 still has warranty coverage, what type of warranty you have, and what parts the warranty covers. For example, you might have a Factory Warranty or a Dealership Warranty. Does your warranty cover items like tires, paint, or batteries? We’ll help you find out.
Remember, warranty durations are listed in time or mileage, whichever comes first. For instance, a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty expires in three years, or when you hit 36,000 miles in less than three years.

Factory Warranty
2004 Honda S2000 Basic Warranty
The 2004 Honda S2000 came with a three-year, 36,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty starting on the original date of delivery or leasing. It covered most parts that were defective under normal use. It did not cover emissions control systems, accessories, batteries, or tires. Those components came with separate warranties. Exclusions also applied to damage from everyday wear and tear, cleaning services, and most window glass damage. As of 2022, this warranty is expired.
2004 Honda S2000 Powertrain Warranty
The 2004 Honda S2000 did not come with a separate Powertrain Limited Warranty. Any faulty components not covered under another warranty would require you to cover the full cost of repairs to this system.
Corrosion Perforation Warranty
The 2004 Honda S2000 came with a five-year unlimited mileage Rust Perforation Limited Warranty that covered any body panels rusted completely through from the inside out. As of 2022, this warranty is expired.

As of 2022, this warranty is expired.

The 2004 Honda S2000 New Vehicle Limited Warranty did not cover tires. The tires that came as original equipment on your S2000 are warranted by their manufacturer in a separate statement provided by the dealership.
