2008 Honda Fit Basic Warranty
The New Vehicle Limited Warranty covered most bumper-to-bumper repairs for the 2008 Honda Fit for three years or 36,000 miles. This warranty has now expired. The warranty didn’t cover defective parts from abuse or misuse.
The New Vehicle Limited Warranty also didn’t cover modified vehicles, odometers, or vehicles used for racing events. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty included wheel alignment and balancing for one year or 12,000 miles, but this has now expired.
2008 Honda Fit Powertrain Warranty
A Powertrain Warranty applied to the 2008 Honda Fit for five years or 60,000 miles. This warranty covered the engine, transmission and transaxle, and front-wheel-drive systems, but is expired now.
The Powertrain Warranty didn’t cover defective parts from abuse or misuse, normal wear and tear, or the replacement of expendable maintenance items.
Corrosion Perforation Warranty
The Rust Perforation Limited Warranty covered the replacement of corroded body panels on the 2008 Honda Fit for five years with no mileage limit. This warranty has now expired.
The Rust Perforation Limited Warranty didn’t cover surface rust or rusted parts besides the body panels. It also didn’t cover body panels that had been repaired or replaced previously. Rust from road hazards or vehicle immersion in water and paint-matching services weren’t part of the warranty coverage.
Air Conditioning Warranty
The 2008 Honda Fit didn’t come with a separate air conditioning warranty. Some air conditioning parts might have been covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, but this has now expired. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty included air conditioning refrigerant charging for one year.
Paint Warranty
A separate paint warranty wasn’t available on the 2008 Honda Fit. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty might have covered some paint defects for three years or 36,000 miles. This warranty is now expired for the 2008 Honda Fit.
Battery Warranty
The Original Equipment Battery Limited Warranty covered the 2008 Honda Fit’s original battery for three years, with no mileage limit. The Battery Warranty replaced a defective battery with a new one, but this coverage has now expired.
Tire Warranty
All 2008 Honda Fit original tires came with a separate manufacturer’s warranty. You can contact your Honda dealership for more information about your tire warranty. The specifications of the tire warranty depended on the manufacturer but included the repair or replacement of defective tires.

Emissions Warranty
The Federal Emissions Warranty covered emissions-related repairs and replacements on the 2008 Honda Fit for three years or 36,000 miles. The warranty covered parts of the emissions system, including the OBD and transmission control systems.
2008 Honda Fit drivers in California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont were instead covered under the California Emissions Warranty for three years or 50,000 miles. Some emissions parts might have been covered for seven years or 70,000 miles, but all coverage has now expired.
Additionally, the Clean Air Act requires manufacturers to cover the catalytic converter, engine computer, and onboard diagnostics for eight years or 80,000 miles.

2008 Honda Fit Warranty Extensions Available Upon Car Purchase
Honda Care was available when you first purchased your 2008 Honda Fit. Honda Care is an extended warranty program with coverage of up to eight years or 120,000 miles.
