We’ve also put together a frequently asked questions section at the bottom of this guide. With it, you’ll learn the answers to some common questions Honda owners ask. But first, let’s review what your 2010 Honda Ridgeline warranty covered, what it didn’t, and what’s still protected today — if anything.
Factory Warranty
2010 Honda Ridgeline Basic Warranty
With the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, Honda would have repaired or replaced any defective part on your 2010 Ridgeline for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever came first, free of charge. However, this coverage is now expired.
This warranty also covered wiper blade inserts and key fob and remote batteries for the first six months as well as wheel balancing and alignment for one year or 12,000 miles. Honda’s Basic Warranty doesn’t cover everything. These included:
- Normal wear and tear
- Cleaning or polishing
- Adding fluids
- Broken window glass
- Cosmetic flaws
- Damage to the body or paint
- Routine maintenance items
- Items covered by a separate warranty, such as the powertrain or battery
2010 Honda Ridgeline Powertrain Warranty
Your 2010 Ridgeline’s powertrain was protected for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever came first. Honda would have repaired or replaced defects in the engine, transmission, transaxle, and drive system free of charge. This policy is expired.
Corrosion Perforation Warranty
The Rust Perforation Limited Warranty protection provided by Honda runs for five years with no mileage limits. Unfortunately, this coverage has also expired for your 2010 Ridgeline.
With this corrosion protection policy, Honda would have covered body panels that were perforated by rust from the inside out as well as previously serviced panels for the remainder of the original five-year policy. However, this coverage was nontransferable.
Air Conditioning Warranty
Your 2010 Honda Ridgeline’s air conditioning system did not come with its own warranty. The Basic Warranty also covered the air conditioning system. The refrigerant was only covered for the first year unless it was required as part of another warrantied repair. This coverage is now expired.
Paint Warranty
Unfortunately, Honda doesn’t offer a paint warranty on any of its vehicles, including the 2010 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck. Any cosmetic flaws or damage to the body or paint are your financial responsibility.
Battery Warranty
Honda offered a three-year Original Equipment Battery Limited Warranty on your 2010 Ridgeline’s original battery. There were no mileage limits for this coverage, and it paid for all parts, labor, and installation. This warranty is expired.
Tire Warranty
The original tires that came on your 2010 Honda were warrantied by their manufacturer. If you need a tire repair or replacement and you believe yours are still covered, contact your local dealership for assistance filing a claim.
In 2010, Honda used the following tire manufacturers to equip the Ridgeline:
Emissions Warranty
Honda’s Federal Emissions Warranty protected your 2010 Ridgeline’s emissions system for a minimum of three years or 36,000 miles, which has expired. If you live in California or a state that follows their more stringent emission regulations, California Emissions Warranty extended coverage to three years or 50,000 miles, with some parts covered for seven years or 70,000 miles. While this protection is also expired, these states included:
- California
- Connecticut
- Maine
- Massachusetts
- New Jersey
- Oregon
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- Vermont
- Washington
The Clean Air Act also required Honda to cover the costs to repair the engine computer, catalytic converter, and onboard diagnostics for eight years or 80,000 miles if the vehicle failed a federally approved smog test. This coverage has also expired.

2010 Honda Ridgeline Warranty Extensions Available Upon Car Purchase
Honda Care is an extended warranty program provided by your 2010 Ridgeline’s manufacturer. Warranties were available for up to eight years or 120,000 miles. Honda owners must have purchased a Honda Care extended warranty before the New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires. Unfortunately, this is no longer an option since the 2010 Honda Ridgeline is more than three years old, regardless of its mileage.
2010 Honda Ridgeline Extended Warranty Available Now
The New Vehicle Limited Warranty on your 2010 Honda Ridgeline is expired, so you can no longer purchase Honda Care. However, you may be able to purchase an extended warranty from a third-party provider.

What Are the Most Common Warranty Issues With a 2010 Honda Ridgeline?

What Voids a Honda Warranty?
