Factory Warranty
2011 Honda Ridgeline Basic Warranty
Your 2011 Ridgeline had three years or 36,000 miles coverage with Honda’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty. This coverage included repairs or replacements of any defective part for free. However, this coverage is now expired.
The warranty also offered limited coverage on wiper blade inserts, key fobs, remote batteries (six months), and wheel balancing and alignment (one year or 12,000 miles). Honda’s Factory Warranty didn’t cover everything, though. Honda didn’t pay for general wear and tear, broken glass, body and paint damage, routine maintenance, or cleaning services.
2011 Honda Ridgeline Powertrain Warranty
Honda’s Powertrain Limited Warranty protected your 2011 Ridgeline for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever came first. This warranty coverage has expired.
Under this warranty, Honda would have repaired or replaced defective parts for no charge. This coverage included numerous components within the engine, transmission, transaxle, and front- or all-wheel-drive system.
Corrosion Perforation Warranty
Honda’s Rust Perforation Limited Warranty protected your 2011 Ridgeline’s body panels that have rusted all the way through for five years with no limits on mileage. Unfortunately, this coverage is now expired.
With this corrosion protection policy, Honda would have replaced or repaired any body panels perforated by rust from the inside out. This protection also extended to previously serviced panels repaired under warranty for the balance of the original five-year policy. This warranty was nontransferable, so only the first vehicle owner can file a rust perforation claim with Honda.
Air Conditioning Warranty
Honda’s Basic Warranty covered the components of the 2011 Ridgeline’s air conditioning system for three years or 36,000 miles. This warranty only covered the refrigerant for the first two years or 24,000 miles, or longer if another covered repair required this servicing. This coverage has expired.
Paint Warranty
Honda doesn’t cover paint or any other cosmetic damage to the exterior of the 2011 Ridgeline. It also won’t match paint for the entire vehicle after servicing rust-perforated body panels.
Battery Warranty
Honda covered your 2011 Ridgeline’s 12-volt battery for three years with no mileage limits. The company would have replaced your original battery for free, including any labor or installation costs during this time frame. This coverage is now expired.
Tire Warranty
The manufacturer’s warranty, rather than Honda’s, covered your 2011 Ridgeline’s original tires. You likely have replaced the original tires on the vehicle since you either purchased it new or used.
If you want to contact the tire company directly, your local Honda dealership can help you find a regional representative for assistance. In 2011, Honda used the following tire manufacturers to equip the Ridgeline:
- Bridgestone/Firestone
- Continental
- Goodyear/Dunlap
- Michelin
- Yokohama
Emissions Warranty
Honda’s Federal Emissions Warranty runs a minimum of three years or 36,000 miles. This warranty has expired. The California Emissions Warranty covered these parts for three years or 50,000 miles, with some parts covered for seven years or 70,000 miles, in California and states following their more stringent regulations. While this protection has also expired, these states are:
- California
- Connecticut
- Maine
- Maryland
- Massachusetts
- New Jersey
- New Mexico
- Oregon
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- Vermont
- Washington
Honda was also required to comply with the Clean Air Act. This program required Honda to warranty your truck’s engine computer, catalytic converter, and onboard diagnostics system for eight years or 80,000 miles. This coverage has also expired.

2011 Honda Ridgeline Warranty Extensions Available Upon Car Purchase
This automaker offers an extended warranty program called Honda Care. However, you must have purchased this policy before your New Vehicle Limited Warranty expired. You can no longer purchase a Honda Care policy because the 2011 Ridgeline model is more than three years old, even if the vehicle has less than 36,000 miles on the odometer.
2011 Honda Ridgeline Extended Warranty Available Now
Honda Care is no longer available because your 2011 Honda Ridgeline’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty is expired. However, you may be able to purchase a policy from a third-party extended warranty provider.
