2012 Honda Crosstour Basic Warranty

The 2012 Honda Crosstour came with a New Vehicle Limited Warranty, which covered most repairs for three years or 36,000 miles. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty doesn’t cover cosmetic repairs, cleaning or polishing, normal wear, and tear, or broken or chipped glass.

It also doesn’t cover expendable maintenance items. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty had six-month coverage for the replacement of original key fob batteries and wiper blade inserts.

2012 Honda Crosstour Powertrain Warranty

The 2012 Honda Crosstour came with a Powertrain Warranty that covered powertrain components for five years or 60,000 miles. This warranty covered the engine, transmission, and front-wheel-drive system which began on the same day as the New Vehicle Limited Warranty and has now expired.

Corrosion Perforation Warranty

A Rust Perforation Limited Warranty was good for five years with no mileage limit for the 2012 Honda Crosstour. This warranty covered the replacement of rusted body panels.

It didn’t include surface rust or rust from road hazards or the immersion of the panels in water. Paint-matching services also weren’t included in the Rust Perforation Limited Warranty.

Air Conditioning Warranty

The 2012 Honda Crosstour didn’t come with a separate Air Conditioning Warranty, but system repairs were covered in the New Vehicle Limited Warranty for three years or 36,000 miles. You may be able to receive air conditioning coverage today by buying an extended warranty.

Paint Warranty

The 2012 Honda Crosstour didn’t come with a Paint Warranty. Any paint defects you may have noticed should have been brought to the attention of the dealer immediately, and you can no longer receive coverage for paint or body damage.

Battery Warranty

There wasn’t a separate Battery Warranty for the 2012 Honda Crossstour. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty covered the 12-volt battery for three years or 36,000 miles.

Original 2012 Honda Crosstour tires came with a separate warranty from their manufacturer. You can contact your Honda dealership to find out who holds your Tire Warranty.

One of the following tire manufacturers supplied the tires for your Crosstour:

Emissions Warranty

The Federal Emissions Warranty covered the 2012 Honda Crosstour emissions system components for three years or 36,000 miles. This coverage is now expired.

A California Emissions Warranty covered drivers in California, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington for three years or 50,000 miles.

Both Emissions Warranties excluded emissions-related repairs due to an accident, abuse, or misuse. The warranty did include emissions-related repairs or replacements, including the exhaust or ignition systems. Additionally, the Clean Air Act requires manufacturers to cover the catalytic converter, engine computer, and onboard diagnostics for eight years or 80,000 miles.
