The coverage under this warranty applies to the electric motors in the vehicle as well as any associated components that go into making the vehicle function. Charging hardware and batteries are covered as well, which is especially important because electric car batteries degrade over time, making them unable to hold as much energy as they used to. With this warranty in place, you shouldn’t have to worry about your battery ever dropping below 70% capability during the length of the warranty coverage.
Emission Defect and Performance Warranty

Hyundai Roadside Assistance
Much of the warranty helps you cover costs at the mechanic shop, but getting there can be tough if your car breaks down on the side of the road. Fortunately, the warranty can cover this as well with roadside assistance that won’t fail you even if your engine does. A new purchase of a Hyundai features roadside assistance for five years in all 50 states and Canada, no matter when you break down, even if it’s in the middle of the night on a federal holiday.
Roadside assistance can help get your car running or get it to the shop, depending on your specific problem. Running out of gas or locking your keys in your car are both covered, along with more serious issues like getting a flat tire, or your engine won’t start. Just keep in mind that there may be some fees if you break down more than 150 miles from home. Additionally, roadside assistance isn’t applicable if you’re driving off-road or were in an accident of any kind.
New Vehicle Limited Warranty
The general vehicle warranty that’s available with a new Hyundai purchase covers quite a bit that helps your engine work its wonders. Numerous electrical and chassis components throughout the vehicle are necessary to keep the engine running properly, and they’re all covered by the five-year/60,000-mile warranty. Rust Hole Coverage
The anti-perforation warranty covers any rust holes that develop in the vehicle and lasts for three years or 36,000 miles. It’s important to remember, however, that his coverage exclusively applies to rust holes on body panels through normal use or a workmanship defect. If rust holes develop anywhere else, such as in the exhaust system, the warranty doesn’t cover it. It is highly unlikely that body rust will develop this early in the car’s life anyway.
