Having a Mopar warranty gives your car extra protection. Mopar has a great reputation for customer service and quality repairs, so if you’re considering an extended warranty from them, you’re in good hands.

Is Mopar a Good Company?

Mopar is a brand of Stellantis, the parent company of Mopar brands such as Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM Trucks. Mopar specializes in producing aftermarket parts and accessories for automobiles. Mopar has been around for 85 years, and it has proven itself to be a reliable brand.

The company has an excellent reputation among consumers and receives positive reviews from experts as well. Mopar provides warranty coverage on all of its products, but it also offers extended warranties, maintenance plans, and other forms of protection.

The Mopar Warranty

The Mopar warranty offers an extended warranty that you can purchase with new vehicles from Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, or Jeep dealerships. This gives you added peace of mind when buying a new car because if something goes wrong, you can get it repaired either at no cost or with an affordable deductible. Keep in mind that the Mopar warranty does not replace your manufacturer’s standard warranty, rather, it serves as a secondary line of defense if something goes wrong with your vehicle after the factory warranty has expired.

What is Covered by Mopar Plans?

Mopar offers three different levels of service plans for your car, truck, or SUV, including powertrain care, added care plus, and maximum care. These plans are explained in detail below.

Powertrain Care

This plan is designed for customers who want to extend the first basic or powertrain warranty on their vehicle. It is available for up to seven years or 100,000 miles, and it also offers a lifetime coverage. The deductibles for this plan range from $0 to $100. The powertrain care plus plan protects over 300 different components, including:

  • Engine
  • Transmission
  • Driveline

Added Care Plus

The added care plus plan is available for five to eight years, with mileage limits ranging from 60,000 to 125,000 miles and deductibles ranging from $0 to $200. Experienced professionals will service your vehicle using genuine Mopar parts. Added Care protects over 800 different components, including:

  • Expanded Electrical
  • Steering
  • Air Conditioning
  • Anti-Lock Brakes
  • Engine Cooling and Fuel
  • Engine
  • Electrical
  • Instrumentation
  • Brakes
  • Power Group
  • Transmission
  • Driveline
  • Front Suspension
  • Rear Suspension

Maximum Care Warranty Plan

The maximum care warranty plan is the most extensive kind of extended warranty you can purchase for your Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, or RAM vehicle. It extends coverage for over 5,000 components, giving your car almost full mechanical coverage. You can rest easy knowing that certified professionals will service your vehicle to keep it running smoothly. This plan provides coverage for:

  • Torsion bars
  • Engine mounts
  • All engine computers
  • Shocks
  • All seats, hood, trunk lid, lift gate, door, and window mechanisms
  • All electrical systems

The Mopar Warranty Towing Assistance

Mopar provides towing assistance only if your vehicle becomes inoperable because of a technical failure. If your manufacturer’s warranty does not cover towing or roadside assistance, the Mopar warranty will cover it. The towing assistance that Mopar offers involves:

  • Flat tire changing
  • Battery jump
  • Out-of-gas gasoline delivery
  • Lock out service

Additional Benefits Included In the Mopar Warranty

As with most warranties, the Mopar extended car warranty comes with a few additional perks that you should be aware of:

  • Protection of up to $1000 for trip disruption if a breakdown happens more than 100 miles from home
  • Allowance of $100 for towing and roadside assistance costs
  • The $35 rental fee for the first day will be reimbursed
  • Car rental allowance of $35 per day and $175 per occurrence

How Much Does a Mopar Warranty Cost?

The cost for the Mopar warranty depends on the make, model, year, and mileage of your car, as well as the type of plan you choose. Online quotes are only available for vehicles with a maximum of 36,000 miles on them and a model year no older than 2017.

Mopar plans may cost anywhere from $1000 to $4000 per year, depending on the level of coverage and the car. If you want a specific quote, the best way to do so is to contact a customer service representative at Mopar directly.

Is It Possible To Cancel Your Mopar Warranty?

It is possible for you to cancel if you have not allowed a new owner to take over the plan’s coverage. If you want to cancel the plan, you may do so at any dealer. Your contract will be terminated by the dealer. If your car is repossessed or declared a complete loss, your rights under this plan are transferred to the lienholder.

A request for plan cancellation must be made by your company’s lienholder at your original point of purchase, which is the dealer you bought the plan from. If the plan was not funded, you would receive a check from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Limited Liability Company for any return owed.

What Vehicles Are Eligible for the Mopar Warranty?

The Mopar warranty is available for all Dodge, Jeep, FIAT, Chrysler, and Ram vehicles. You can acquire a Mopar warranty for your vehicle by going to an authorized dealer and making a purchase there or by contacting Mopar’s customer support.

In addition, if you want to buy a Mopar warranty for a vehicle of a different make and model, go to an authorized dealer and inquire about your eligibility. The Mopar warranty is also transferable, so you can sell the car with the warranty if you decide you don’t want it anymore.

If you have a Mopar warranty, you are responsible for the maintenance of your vehicle. As a result, do not throw away any paperwork relating to your vehicle’s upkeep, including invoices and repair orders. If the need for maintenance arises, this will show whether you followed the prescribed schedule for maintenance. To ensure the quality and reliability of your vehicle, it is important to follow the recommended maintenance schedule provided by Mopar.
