Mercedes Roadside Assistance: Features and Eligibility

Mercedes Roadside Assistance: Features and Eligibility
TABLE OF CONTENTS

Mercedes-Benz offers customers the assurance of help on the road through its roadside assistance program. This coverage is complimentary for many Mercedes-Benz owners and comes with the type of service you expect from the brand. Read on to find out more about Mercedes roadside assistance services.

What’s Included in Mercedes Roadside Assistance?

Here’s a quick overview of what Mercedes-Benz roadside assistance services offer:

  • Towing services
  • Trip interruption coverage
  • Battery repairs
  • Fuel delivery service
  • Flat tire service
  • On-site assessment service
  • Lockout services (pay-per-use unless you have a current mbrace® account)

Towing

Mercedes-Benz roadside assistance covers towing to the nearest dealership at no charge to the vehicle owner. Mercedes-Benz requires you to complete repairs at a certified dealership to avoid fees for the cost of towing your vehicle.

Trip Interruption

If your vehicle breaks down while you’re on a trip, Mercedes-Benz offers trip interruption coverage. Should this occur, Mercedes roadside assistance reimburses you up to $300 per night to cover lodging, food, and other travel expenses if you’re over 100 miles from home. You can also claim reimbursement for trip interruption if your vehicle is inoperable and covered under warranty or your car remains overnight at a dealership for repairs.

Battery Jump Start

Whether your battery dies at home or it just won’t start when you’re in a parking lot, Mercedes-Benz offers drivers jump start services. A quick jump can get you back on your way or help you get safely to a dealership for a battery replacement.

Fuel Delivery

If you run out of gas, Mercedes roadside assistance delivers it to you wherever you are. Roadside technicians will deliver about three to five gallons of gasoline to get you safely to the next fueling station.

Flat Tire Repair

Whether you run over a nail in a construction zone or find a slow leak, roadside assistance experts will change your tire and replace it with a spare. Technicians provide the right car jack to raise your vehicle and ease the flat tire off your Mercedes.

On-Site Technicians

Mercedes-Benz roadside assistance also provides qualified technicians to meet you in the event that you’re stranded and need a professional to diagnose the problem. Once you contact roadside assistance, a certified Mercedes-Benz technician will assess the vehicle on-site to determine any necessary repairs. The technician will also arrange transportation to a dealership to address any diagnostics or service your vehicle requires.

Lockout Assistance

Lock your keys in your car? Mercedes has got you covered. They’ll send a locksmith to open your vehicle. With an active mbrace® account, this service remains complimentary. Without an mbrace® account, Mercedes will send the technician and bill you for the service call.

What’s the Cost of Mercedes Roadside Assistance?

The cost of a Mercedes-Benz roadside assistance program depends on your ownership status. Mercedes-Benz offers complimentary roadside assistance for customers who meet the following conditions:

  • You own a vehicle under a Mercedes-Benz warranty including limited, extended limited, certified pre-owned, and new vehicle programs
  • You’ve purchased a vehicle from an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership prior to January 4, 2011, with the vehicle remaining in your possession as the original owner

You’ll need to purchase roadside assistance for your Mercedes vehicle if:

  • You drive a vehicle without an active Mercedes-Benz warranty
  • You purchased a vehicle from an unauthorized dealer prior to January 4, 2011

How Can Drivers Access Mercedes Roadside Assistance?

Mercedes-Benz customers can access roadside assistance twenty-four hours a day for service, towing, and vehicle repair. Access your assistance in any of the following ways:

  • Use your mobile phone to call 1-800-367-6372
  • Contact roadside assistance through the Mercedes Me app
  • Press the help button inside your Mercedes

What is Mercedes mbrace®?

Mercedes mbrace® is a suite of digital connectivity features designed to enhance your driving experience and offer convenient services. Mbrace® connect comes standard for five years on all new Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Use mbrace® through the Mercedes Me app to start and lock your vehicle, activate vehicle location services, access navigation, and connect to roadside assistance. Pairing mbrace® with the Mercedes Me app allows you to access vehicle data like fuel level, tire pressure, and mileage or send diagnostic data to your Mercedes dealership.

You can also purchase additional mbrace® tiers for safety, concierge service, and entertainment with features like emergency alerts, location-based traffic and weather updates, and satellite radio access. Mbrace® Secure offers drivers increased safety features and alerts including a collision alarm and push-button SOS calling, adding to your roadside protection. Concierge and Entertainment mbrace® plans offer additional comforts including enhanced navigation and travel reservations or premium infotainment features.

How to use Mbrace® for Roadside Assistance

To contact Mercedes roadside assistance as an mbrace® subscriber, use the following steps:

  1. Push the wrench button located in either the center armrest or your overhead console to connect with a dispatcher. Once you reach an operator, mbrace® also sends information on your location and details about your vehicle’s make and model to roadside assistance professionals.
  2. Use clear details to describe any problems with your vehicle to the dispatcher. They may ask you more questions to determine how to best aid you in your current situation.
  3. Stay in your location with the vehicle until service professionals or technicians arrive to assist you unless they instruct you to do otherwise.

Mercedes-Benz offers drivers a host of roadside assistance services and safety features through mbrace® technology, sending dedicated professional help when you need it. If you’re already an owner of a Mercedes vehicle, understanding more about the services you can access gives you peace of mind on the road. If you’re planning on shopping for a new vehicle, Mercedes roadside assistance offers an important feature with a generous basic package available for all new vehicles.
