Factory Warranty
2004 Honda Accord Basic Warranty
The 2004 Honda Accord had a three-year, 36,000-mile manufacturer’s warranty beginning on the original delivery or lease date. This has now expired. It covered free repairs or replacements of parts with defective manufacture or workmanship under normal use. It didn’t include parts with their own warranties or wear and tear items such as fluids or brake pads.
2004 Honda Accord Powertrain Warranty

The 2004 Honda Accord did not have a separate powertrain warranty. Instead, the basic warranty covered powertrain components. This has now expired.
Corrosion Perforation Warranty
The original owner had a Rust Perforation Limited Warranty, good for five years and unlimited miles. This has now expired. This warranty only covered original body panels that have rusted all the way through. It did not cover surface rust, paint damage due to rust underneath, or rust due to impacts with objects or submersion. It was also only available to the original owner of the car. Subsequent owners had no corrosion warranty at all.
Air Conditioning Warranty
There is no separate air conditioning warranty, but Honda’s basic warranty covered air conditioner refrigerant charges for the first year and longer when needed for related warranty repairs. This has now expired. The warranty made no other direct mentions of the air conditioner but did note Honda dealers may replace other parts at their discretion.
Battery Warranty
Honda had a three-year battery warranty. For the first two years, replacement batteries were free. During the third year, Honda provided a 50% credit toward the purchase of a replacement battery from a Honda dealer. This has now expired.
Emissions Warranty
Honda offered a three-year or 36,000-mile emissions warranty. In addition, the Clean Air Act requires manufacturers to cover the catalytic converter, engine computer, and onboard diagnostics for eight years or 80,000 miles. California required full emissions coverage for three years or 50,000 miles. All of these have now expired.

This has now expired.
