TABLE OF CONTENTS

What’s Included in Your 2006 Honda Civic Warranty?

Understanding your 2006 Honda Civic warranty can help you prepare for and manage the cost of repairs and maintenance. Making repairs to your 2006 Honda Civic can be expensive, so it’s important to know if there is a warranty that can help.

This 2006 Honda Civic warranty guide will provide you with everything you need to know, including what the original Factory Warranty included and if there were any major recalls on your vehicle. Recalls are different from warranties, and they must be performed by a dealership even if the vehicle is out of warranty. Visit NHTSA.gov/recalls to search for recall information on any car using the 17-digit VIN or year/make/model data.

We’ll review the specific parts included in each warranty and the exclusions. Make sure you also check out the end of the article for a few common questions related to the 2006 Honda Civic warranty.

2006 Honda Civic Factory Warranty Coverage:

Basic Warranty:3 years or 36,000 miles
Corrosion Perforation Warranty:65 years and no mileage limit
Powertrain Warranty:5 years or 60,000 miles
Battery Warranty:3 years and no mileage limit

2006 Honda Civic Basic Warranty

While the 2006 Honda Civic is no longer covered under the Factory Warranty, you may still be able to purchase an Extended Warranty from a third-party provider.

The 2006 Honda Civic basic warranty excludes repairs from normal wear and tear, cleaning/polishing, fluid changes, air conditioning refrigerant charges, broken or chipped glass, cosmetic items, replacement of maintenance items, or wheel balancing and wheel alignment after one year or 12,000 miles.

2006 Honda Civic Powertrain Warranty

The 2006 Honda Civic’s Powertrain Warranty covers the engine and transmission for up to 5 years or 60,000 miles. This includes engine, transmission, front-wheel-drive, and rear-wheel drive system parts.

The 2006 Honda Civic is no longer covered by a Powertrain or Drivetrain Warranty. Engine or Transmission Warranties may be available through a third-party provider.

2006 Honda Civic Warranty Extensions Available Upon Car Purchase

The 2006 Honda Civic was only eligible for a warranty extension if you purchased it before the original Factory Warranty expired. Honda doesn’t offer any warranty extensions on the 2006 Honda Civic.

While you may not be able to get a warranty extension from Honda, one may be available through a third party. You can shop for warranties that cover important mechanical components like the engine or transmission.

2006 Honda Civic Extended Warranties Available Now
