Factory Warranty
2007 Honda Accord Basic Warranty
Every new Honda Accord had a new vehicle limited warranty that covers most components for three years or 36,000 miles. This has now expired.
The new vehicle limited warranty began on the date the was first sold. It provided coverage for the repair or replacement of any part that was defective in material or workmanship under normal use. It did not cover emissions control systems (which have their own warranty, described below), cleaning and polishing, broken or chipped window glass unless it was due to a defect, or wheel balancing or alignment after one year or 12,000 miles.
2007 Honda Accord Powertrain Warranty
The 2007 Honda Accord came with a powertrain warranty, which included the drivetrain. This warranty lasted for five years or 60,000 miles. This has now expired.
The powertrain warranty covered all the components of the powertrain, including the cylinder head, internal parts, timing gears and gaskets, and the timing chain or belt. These parts were covered if found defective in material or workmanship under normal use.
Corrosion Perforation Warranty
The 2007 Honda Accord came with a rust perforation limited warranty. The coverage lasted for five years without a mileage limit. This has now expired. Under the warranty, Honda would repair or replace any body panel that rusts from the inside out due to corrosion. Rust that occurred as a result of a defect in the material or original workmanship but did not go through the body panel was covered under the new vehicle limited warranty.
Air Conditioning Warranty
The air conditioning system had no separate warranty but was covered under the new vehicle limited warranty, which has now expired. Honda also covered the refrigerant for the first year of ownership with unlimited miles. After the first year, refrigerant was only covered if it was needed as part of a warranty repair.
Paint Warranty
There was no separate paint warranty. The new vehicle limited warranty, which has now expired, only covered paint due to a material or workmanship defect. Honda did not cover paint if it was due to an accident or misuse of the vehicle.
The new vehicle limited warranty did not cover any parts or items related to the general appearance of the 2007 Honda Accord. This included damage to the body paint or other items that may have become damaged during the manufacturing process or shipping. Dealers inspected and corrected these before delivery.
Battery Warranty
There was an original equipment battery limited warranty for the 2007 Honda Accord’s battery. It was fully covered for three years. This has now expired.
The battery warranty coverage began on the same date as the new vehicle limited warranty. A defective battery would be replaced at no cost to the owner, with diagnosis, labor, and installation included.
Emissions Warranty
The emissions-related defects and performance warranties cover all the emissions components for three years or 36,000 miles. Additionally, the Clean Air Act requires manufacturers to cover the catalytic converter, engine computer, and onboard diagnostics for eight years or 80,000 miles. This coverage has now expired.
The federal emissions warranties were in addition to the new vehicle limited warranty. They covered 2007 Honda Accords sold by authorized Honda dealers and included all the parts listed in the warranty booklet.

Honda offered an extended warranty plan called Honda Care. It was available at the time of purchase and extended coverage for up to eight years or 120,000 miles. Honda Care was also available for used cars until the original warranty expired at three years or 36,000 miles.
Honda Care coverage came in two different plans: bumper-to-bumper coverage and powertrain warranty coverage. The powertrain coverage was available for used cars, but the 2007 Honda Accord is no longer eligible since it is over eight years old.
