FAQs

Find answers to frequently asked questions about the Honda Accord warranty below:

Honda’s powertrain coverage can last up to 100,000 miles on certified vehicles that have been owned for fewer than 12 months or driven fewer than 12,000 miles. However, new Honda models come with a Powertrain Warranty that lasts up to 60,000 miles or five years.

Honda factory warranties are transferable as long as ownership is transferred during the original warranty coverage period. If you buy a Honda that is less than three years old and has fewer than 36,000 miles on it, it will still be under Factory Warranty coverage.

If an owner misuses their Honda vehicle by racing, overloading, or driving off-road, the Factory Warranty coverage does not apply to any damages even if they weren’t directly related to the misuse. Tampering with the odometer also voids a Honda Factory Warranty.

The 2012 Honda Accord warranty coverage provides help with expenses for various types of issues with your Honda vehicle. Coverage has expired for many of the aspects of the standard warranty, but there are additional resources to offer help and protection.

If your Factory Warranty has expired and you’re looking to reduce out-of-pocket expenses, be sure to check out the CARCHEX+FIXD Vehicle Protection Plan.
