Factory Warranty
2019 Honda Accord Basic Warranty
The 2019 Honda Accord has a Basic Warranty, also called the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, that lasts three years or 36,000 miles. This Manufacturer’s Warranty or Factory Warranty begins on the date the original owner receives the car.
This Basic Factory Warranty covers repairs and replacements for defective parts and work. Some components are not covered by this warranty, including fluid refills, normal deterioration, scratched glass (unless it was a factory defect), cosmetic flaws, and normal maintenance.
Your 2019 Honda Accord warranty might have expired. If you want to see if you still have coverage, call the dealership where you purchased your vehicle. You’ll need the car’s mileage and vehicle identification number.
2019 Honda Accord Powertrain Warranty
There is a five-year or 60,000-mile Powertrain Warranty available for the 2019 Honda Accord. The warranty includes the powertrain components, including the transmission, engine, and drivetrain systems. If any of these parts become defective, Honda will cover the repair or replacement.
Corrosion Perforation Warranty
The 2019 Honda Accord has a five-year Corrosion Perforation Warranty. This warranty coverage has unlimited miles. If the vehicle experiences body panels that rust through from the inside out, Honda will cover the repair or replacement.
It is important to note that Honda does not guarantee color matching for rust-related repairs. Additionally, the warranty will not cover surface rust, rust caused by lack of maintenance, or rust related to immersion in mud or water. Further, the warranty is only available to the vehicle’s first owner. You can find more information about this warranty on page 30 of the 2019 Honda Accord warranty brochure.
Air Conditioning Warranty
Some components of the air conditioner might be covered by the Federal Emissions Warranty. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty covered air conditioner refrigerant for two years or 24,000 miles, but this coverage has expired. No separate Air Conditioning Warranty is available.
Paint Warranty
The 2019 Honda Accord warranty doesn’t cover paint. The exception is any flaw or defect noticed upon the initial delivery of the vehicle. Owners should contact the dealership immediately if they see problems with the paint.
Battery Warranty
The 12-volt battery is covered as part of the Honda New Vehicle Limited Warranty, which lasts three years or 36,000 miles. Some 2019 Honda Accords might have expired coverage.
Accord Hybrid models also include a high-voltage battery that powers the hybrid electric motor. Honda provides a High Voltage Battery Capacity Warranty for the gradual capacity loss for eight years or 100,000 miles. Hybrid batteries normally degrade slightly over time with use, so just because you experience a loss in range does not mean this warranty will cover a replacement. It is up to your Honda dealer to determine if your high-voltage battery had degraded faster than normal and qualifies for a replacement.
Tire Warranty
The 2019 Honda Accord does not have its own tire warranty. New tires usually come with coverage directly from the tire manufacturer. Owners can contact the specific manufacturer to learn more about warranty coverage.
Emissions Warranty
The 2019 Honda Accord Federal Emissions Warranty covers the vehicle’s emissions systems for three years or 36,000 miles. This means your coverage has likely expired. During the warrantied period, a vehicle that fails to pass an emissions test will receive free repairs or replacements to become compliant. Components covered under the Federal Emissions Warranty include the exhaust gas recirculation system, exhaust system, ignition system, fuel injection system, and integrated motor assist system.
The Clean Air Act requires vehicle manufacturers to cover some vehicle components, including the engine computer, catalytic converter, and onboard diagnostic system, for eight years or 80,000 miles. Additionally, some states have separate emissions standards. You’ll find more information about this coverage on page 18 of the 2019 Honda Accord warranty booklet.

2019 Honda Accord Warranty Extensions Available Upon Car Purchase
Honda offers Honda Care to vehicle owners at the time of purchase. Honda Care includes an extended warranty plan that takes effect when the Basic Warranty expires. This extended warranty plan covers the drivetrain, air conditioner, and other items for up to eight years or 120,000 miles. The warranty extension might include roadside assistance, trip interruption benefits, and rental car reimbursement.
This extended warranty is transferable to a new owner. If you don’t know whether your car has an extended warranty, you can contact the dealership for more information.
2019 Honda Accord Extended Warranty Available Now
Honda Care is an extended warranty available through a Honda dealer, and you can purchase this vehicle service contract before your Basic Factory Warranty expires. If your warranty is expired, you can seek an extended warranty through a third party.

FAQs
Does the Honda Warranty Cover Seat Belts?
The 2019 Honda Accord warranty covers seat belts that do not function properly. The coverage lasts 15 years or 150,000 miles and covers defects of parts or workmanship. It does not cover replacing the seat belt for comfort reasons or cosmetic adjustments. It also doesn’t cover seat belts that malfunction after a collision.
Does the 2019 Honda Accord Come With Accessory Coverage?
Honda covers accessories purchased from an authorized Honda dealership. The 2019 Honda Accord dealership covers newly installed accessories up to one year after installation, even if the New Vehicle Limited Warranty has expired.
How Can You See if Your Repair Is Covered by a Honda Warranty?
If you’ve already checked the Honda warranty booklet, the best way to see if your vehicle is eligible for a repair or replacement is to bring it to a Honda dealership. It is also beneficial to bring evidence of maintenance and other repairs so the dealer can determine the vehicle’s eligibility.
Do You Have To Maintain Your Vehicle for Honda To Cover Emissions Issues?
To qualify for your Federal Emissions Warranty, you do not necessarily have to maintain your vehicle. However, warranty coverage depends on manufacturer defects found in the emissions system. If the problem resulted from a lack of maintenance rather than a factory defect, the warranty won’t cover the repair.
Does the Honda Warranty Cover Maintenance?
The 2019 Honda Accord Factory Warranty does not cover normal maintenance items, including filters, spark plugs, and brake pads. It does not cover oil changes or tune-ups. It does, however, cover defective materials and workmanship. Additionally, Honda might cover air conditioner refrigerant for two years or 24,000 miles.
The 2019 Honda Accord benefits from its New Vehicle Limited Warranty, but most coverage is expiring soon if it hasn’t already. If you want to get the most out of your vehicle, repairs and replacements are crucial. Your Honda warranty will provide more information about specific coverage limits.
If your factory warranty has expired and you’re looking to reduce out-of-pocket expenses, be sure to check out the FIXD+CARCHEX Vehicle Protection Plan.
