2019 Honda Civic Basic Warranty
The 2019 Honda Civic’s basic warranty, called the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, lasts for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. This warranty also covers wiper blades for the first six months, wheel balancing, and wheel alignment for the first 12 months or 12,000 miles.
The best way to see if your New Vehicle Limited Warranty is still valid is to call the dealership where you bought it. You’ll need the vehicle identification number (VIN) and the mileage, and then simply contact the dealership and they can help you with your warranty information.

- Rust on the body panels caused by misuse or lack of maintenance

Air Conditioning Warranty
Although there is no separate warranty for the air conditioning, refrigerant is covered under the Basic Warranty for two years or 24,000 miles.
Paint Warranty
The 2019 Honda Civic does not have a separate paint warranty. However, if paint peels or chips due to defects or poor workmanship, speak to your dealership about repairs.
Battery Warranty
The 2019 Honda Civic 12-Volt Battery Limited Warranty has an overall time period of 100 months. During the first 36 months, Honda will replace the battery at no cost, including labor. For the remaining 64 months, Honda will discount the cost and the labor.
Honda breaks the discount down by time frame, and the credit price is based on current 12-volt battery prices. Discounts include:
- Months 37 to 45: 60%
- Months 46 to 55: 50%
- Months 56 to 65: 40%
- Months 66 to 75: 30%

FAQs
The 2019 Honda Civic warranties are quite thorough and provide comprehensive coverage. Here are a few supplemental questions and answers that may cross your mind:
What Kind of Warranty Coverage Do I Have for the Brakes?
The brake components on your 2019 Honda Civic may or may not be covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, depending on the mileage of the car. In general, wear items such as brake pads, rotors, shoes, and drums aren’t covered. However, if there’s a defect in the brake booster, master cylinder, or calipers and your New Vehicle Limited Warranty is in effect, Honda will cover the cost of replacement and labor for these parts.
What Is the Warranty on Replacement Exhaust Components?
The 2019 Honda Civic Replacement Exhaust Components Lifetime Limited Warranty is valid as long as the exhaust components’ purchaser owns the 2019 Honda Civic on which the parts were installed.
This particular warranty does not cover the following:
- Labor cost and removal if the defective exhaust component was not installed by an authorized Honda dealer
- Exhaust parts like the gaskets, hangers, clamps, and mounting hardware
- Other original equipment exhaust system parts that were installed while the New Vehicle Limited Warranty is in effect
- Cost of parts or labor for additional repairs needed when replacing the defective exhaust components
What May Void Any Warranties?
If you carefully follow the warranty policies and have the parts repaired or replaced in the designated time frame, Honda will honor the warranty. Incidents that may void the warranty include:
- Misuse of the part or accessory
- Accidental damage
- Acts of nature (comprehensive car insurance will cover this)
- Low fluid level
- Not using original equipment manufacturer’s parts
- Using the Honda Civic in racing events
- Installing parts not made for the 2019 Honda Civic
- An altered odometer
- A vehicle under warranty driven outside the United States or its territories
- Improper modifications
- A vehicle declared a total loss or sold for salvage, except for Emissions Warranties, Seat Belt Limited Warranty, or Replacement Parts Limited Warranty
