The Basic Warranty for all Honda vehicles provides coverage for three years or 36,000 miles. This is also called the New Vehicle Limited Warranty or the Bumper-To-Bumper Warranty, and it will cover parts and labor for eligible repairs and replacement at no cost to you. To be eligible, the parts must break down under proper operation during the warranty period. You can contact your local dealership for the specifics of your coverage.

2022 Honda CR-V Powertrain Warranty

The Powertrain Warranty on your 2022 Honda CR-V covers all the parts that power the vehicle. This includes your engine, axles, transaxle, full drivetrain, and several other systems and parts. It applies to all CR-V SUVs, whether they’re front-wheel or all-wheel drive. It lasts five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first, and covers repair and replacement of any part that malfunctions because of a factory defect or failure under proper operation.

2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Powertrain Warranty

The Honda CR-V Hybrid adds extra powertrain protection for the hybrid components including the high-voltage battery. This Hybrid Powertrain Warranty is good for eight years or 100,000 miles.

Corrosion Perforation Warranty

Honda offers corrosion perforation coverage that lasts five years, with no mileage limit. This coverage, however, applies only to the original purchaser of the vehicle. Under this warranty, Honda covers the replacement of any body panels on your 2022 Honda CR-V that rust through from the inside out, even if the panel has already been replaced under the warranty.

Air Conditioning Warranty

Your 2022 Honda CR-V’s air conditioning system is covered under the Federal Emissions Warranty for three years or 36,000 miles (three years or 50,000 miles in California). Refrigerant is limited to 2 years or 24,000 miles unless it’s required as part of another warrantied repair.

Paint Warranty

Honda does not offer an extended Paint Warranty for the 2022 CR-V, which is not known to have specific paint issues. You will have protection if body panels rust through, which is covered by your Corrosion Perforation Warranty. Otherwise, you must pay to correct paint issues.

Battery Warranty

With your Replacement 12-Volt Battery Limited Warranty Replacement from Honda, you get a total of 100 months of warranty coverage. During the first three years or 36,000 miles, Honda will replace a defective 12-volt battery at no cost to you, including parts, labor, and installation, regardless of mileage.

The covered amount declines during the remaining 64 months of the warranty. You’ll still receive a prorated credit toward the purchase price of a replacement battery from an authorized Honda dealer. However, you must pay for labor and installation costs. This shrinking credit amount under this battery warranty is:

• Months 37 to 45: 60%
• Months 46 to 55: 50%
• Months 56 to 65: 40%
• Months 66 to 75: 30%
• Months 76 to 85: 20%
• Months 86 to 95: 10%
• Months 96 to 100: 5%

This battery warranty does not include coverage for the CR-V Hybrid’s high-voltage traction battery, which is covered under the 8-year/100,000-mile Hybrid Powertrain Warranty.

Tire Warranty

Tires are warrantied by their manufacturers, not Honda. If you want more information about your tire coverage, contact the tire maker. Your Honda dealership can help you get in touch with the right people to learn what you need to know.

Emissions Warranty

Emissions systems are covered by Honda for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. This complies with federal standards that require warranty coverage on emissions. Those living in California and certain other states will receive an extended coverage period of up to 50,000 miles or three years, whichever comes first.

The Clean Air Act  requires manufacturers to cover specific parts of your system, including the engine computer, catalytic converter, and onboard diagnostics , for eight years or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first. Such coverage  depends on the failure being a defect under proper operations.

Warranty Extensions Available Upon Car Purchase

Your Honda dealer might offer you an Extended Warranty when you buy the vehicle. Recalls

According to the NHTSA, there have been no recalls for the gas-powered 2022 Honda CR-V at any trim level. However, the hybrid version has two recalls so far.
