What’s Included In Your 2022 Honda Odyssey Warranty?

Honda provides a factory warranty, also known as a manufacturer’s warranty, for all new vehicles, including the 2022 Odyssey. We’ve created this guide to help you determine if you still have warranty coverage for your Odyssey and whether you have a manufacturer’s warranty, a dealership warranty, or some other type. We can also help you figure out if your warranty covers components such as batteries, tires, and paint. 

Note that warranty duration is listed in time or mileage, whichever comes first. For example, a five-year, 60,000-mile warranty expires in five years or when you hit 60,000 miles in less than five years.

Factory Warranty

2022 Honda Odyssey Basic Warranty

The 2022 Honda Odyssey has a three-year, 36,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty starting on the original date of delivery or leasing. It covers most components defective under normal use, with exclusions for damage from everyday wear and tear, cleaning services, and most window glass damage. 

If your Odyssey has less than 36,000 miles, your warranty should still be in effect.

2022 Honda Odyssey Powertrain Warranty

The 2022 Honda Odyssey has a five-year, 60,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty that covers the engine, transmission, transaxle, front-wheel-drive system, and rear-wheel-drive system. If your Odyssey has less than 60,000 miles, your warranty should still be in effect.

Corrosion Perforation Warranty

The 2022 Honda Odyssey has a five-year unlimited mileage Rust Perforation Limited Warranty that covers any body panels rusted from the inside out. If you’re the Odyssey’s original owner, you can still make claims under this warranty.

Air Conditioning Warranty

The air conditioning system is covered under the Federal Emissions System Coverage for the 2022 Honda Odyssey for three years or 36,000 miles (up to 50,000 miles in some states).

Additionally, the 2022 Honda Odyssey’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty covers air conditioner refrigerant for two years or 24,000 miles. If your Odyssey has less than 24,000 miles, it should still qualify for this coverage.

Paint Warranty

The 2022 Honda Odyssey’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover paint. The Rust Perforation Limited Warranty doesn’t cover rust caused by paint damage from road debris, and it doesn’t cover paint matching. 

Battery Warranty

The original 12-volt battery that came with your 2022 Honda Odyssey is covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty for three years or 36,000 miles. As long as you haven’t exceeded this mileage, you’re eligible for this coverage.

Tire Warranty

The 2022 Honda Odyssey’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty doesn’t cover tires. The tires that came with your Odyssey as original equipment should be warranted by their manufacturer under a separate statement. Tire warranty statements can be found at owners.honda.com. 

Emissions Warranty 

The 2022 Honda Odyssey has a three-year, 36,000-mile Federal Emissions Warranty that covers emissions system components that are defective under normal use. If your Odyssey has less than 36,000 miles, this warranty should still be in effect.

States following California’s rules have this coverage extended to up to 50,000 miles. Under the Clean Air Act, Honda is required to cover your Odyssey’s catalytic converter, engine computer, and onboard diagnostics for eight years or 80,000 miles. If your Odyssey has less than 80,000 miles, it should still qualify for this coverage. 

2022 Honda Odyssey Warranty Extensions Available Upon Car Purchase

A Honda Care plan is available for a new 2022 Honda Odyssey if you purchased it from an authorized Honda dealership, up until the New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires. 

This warranty extension covers most components, including the engine, air conditioning, and electrical systems, for up to eight years or 120,000 miles. Honda Care plans are transferrable to subsequent owners, so your warranty extension may still be in effect if you purchased a pre-owned Odyssey. Contact your local Honda dealer, give them your VIN and mileage, and they can look up your vehicle to see if you still have coverage. 

2022 Honda Odyssey Warranty Extension Available Now

If you have less than 36,000 miles on your Odyssey, then your New Vehicle Limited Warranty should still be in effect, and you can still purchase a Honda Care warranty extension from your local Honda dealer. However, you might be able to find more extensive and more affordable coverage from a third-party provider.
