Factory Warranty
2019 Honda HR-V Basic Warranty
Every new Honda released in 2019 was covered with a New Vehicle Limited Warranty that lasted three years or 36,000 miles, whichever came first. Honda warranty coverage is only available for defects related to the factory or original workmanship.
Some limited coverage was included in the New Vehicle Warranty. For example, key fobs and remotes were covered for six months. Wheel balancing and wheel alignment were covered for one year or 12,000 miles.
Warranties do not cover failure of parts due to abuse, misuse, or acts of nature. It does not cover damage related to vehicle accidents or improper maintenance or installation of aftermarket parts. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty did not cover normal wear of vehicle parts, cosmetic flaws, or vehicle cleaning. it also did not cover cracks or chips in glass that occurred after the vehicle’s purchase.
2019 Honda HR-V Powertrain Warranty
Honda’s Powertrain Warranty is good for five years or 60,000 miles. Under this warranty coverage, Honda repairs or replaces defective materials or work related to the vehicle’s powertrain. This includes parts such as the engine, rear-wheel-drive system, front-wheel-drive system, and transmission.
Corrosion Perforation Warranty
The Honda HR-V has a Rust Perforation Limited Warranty that lasts five years and has no mileage limit. This warranty covers body panels that have been rusted through completely to the outside.
Air Conditioning Warranty
Air conditioning was covered for three years or 36,000 miles as part of the vehicle’s Federal Emissions Warranty and three years 50,000 miles under the California Emissions Warranty. Air conditioning refrigerant was covered for the first two years or 24,000 miles of vehicle ownership.
Paint Warranty

The 12-volt battery is covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty for three years or 36,000 miles. As of 2022, this warranty has either already expired or it’s about to expire, depending on when you bought your vehicle.
Tire Warranty
Honda’s warranty policy does not cover vehicle tires. New tires are covered by the tire manufacturer, and you can contact them to see if your tires are under warranty.
Emissions Warranty

This includes the engine computer, catalytic converter, and onboard diagnostic system for eight years or 80,000 miles.
